What is HedgeLink made of?
The core is 16-gauge braided galvanized wire. The needles are embossed 3-mil PVC in a Blue Spruce color. HedgeLink® is UV stabilized to resist fading from sun exposure and is flame retardant. It’s made in the USA and has been proven in the field for over 30 years.
Will HedgeLink fit my fence?
HedgeLink® fits 2″, 2¼″ or 2⅜″ mesh in 9, 11 or 11½ gauge, and is not intended for use with mini-mesh or 3½″ × 5″ chain link fence. Each bag holds 82 slats and covers 10 linear feet. Unlike Pexco’s tubular slats, HedgeLink is cut the same length as the overall height of the fence, not shorter. It requires no locking device and no tools — insert the slats vertically from top to bottom with the needles facing up, revolving each slat clockwise with your fingers for easier installation.
How is HedgeLink different from an imported hedge slat?
HedgeLink® is made in the USA with a 16-gauge braided galvanized wire core and embossed 3-mil PVC needles, and carries a 10-year, pro-rata warranty against breakage under normal conditions. Imported knock-off products have appeared on the market, and we do not recommend mixing HedgeLink with another manufacturer’s hedge product — the color shades differ and the finished fence will look uneven.
