Engineering Center of Excellence
Pexco Philadelphia in Morrisville, Pennsylvania, represents the prototypical, if not quintessential, specialty extrusion operation.
The facility manufactures primarily for the Lighting and Industrial segments, processing a wide variety of specialty performance and conventional resin materials. Its flexible manufacturing processes allow for low volume and/or highly customizable production runs.
Philadelphia’s 65,000 square-foot facility is also home to Pexco’s Engineering Center of Excellence (ECOE) and many of Pexco’s 50+ engineering and production specialists. The space houses 19 extrusion lines, including three that are dedicated to product development. Additional site features include collaboration areas and a gallery displaying Pexco’s extensive extrusion capabilities.
The site also encompasses the operations of the company known as Plastic Profiles, now a Pexco business unit, a world leader in the extrusion of fluoropolymer rods and compression molded sheets. Since 1965, Plastic Profiles has been at the forefront of manufacturing PCTFE rod and sheet stock, serving a broad range of regions including the US, Canada, South America, Mexico, Europe, and Australia. Plastic Profiles manufactures and stocks a full line of fluoropolymer materials in rod and sheet form, contributing its distinct fluoropolymer capabilities and extensive reach to the Pexco Philadelphia portfolio.
